Cloudworx, an Indian AI startup revolutionizing 3D modeling without coding knowledge, secured a ₹40 lakhs investment on Shark Tank India season 2. Their innovative approach, which received a patent in 2019, eliminates the need for coding expertise to create 3D models.
Addressing Market Needs
According to a survey by Gartner, while 75% of businesses aim to implement digital twins (3D models), only 13% have done so, citing challenges in implementation. Cloudworx aims to bridge this gap by simplifying the process of creating and utilizing 3D models.
Yuvraj Tomar, Cloudworx founder and Forbes Asia 30 under 30 awardee, highlighted the versatility of their solution. With features like heat mapping for energy monitoring and body temperature tracking for employee management, Cloudworx offers a comprehensive platform for business optimization.
Simplifying Access
Tomar emphasized the user-friendly nature of their app, enabling easy access to digital 3D models without the need for a web browser. The platform offers three key functionalities: connecting devices and processes, customizing virtual store layouts, and building 3D workflows without coding.
Market Expansion and Growth
Established in 2020, Cloudworx aims to democratize the metaverse, making it accessible and understandable for all. Despite low initial sales due to a focus on the Indian market, expansion efforts led to increased traction, especially among European clients.
Shark Tank Success
Namita Thapar, executive director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, recognized the value of Cloudworx for factory monitoring and automation. Impressed by the demo, she sealed a deal worth ₹40 lakhs with a 3.2% equity stake.
Diverging Opinions
While Thapar saw immense potential in Cloudworx’s application for MSMEs, other sharks expressed reservations. Anupam Mittal questioned the startup’s ability to compete with tech giants, while Amit Jain and Vineeta Singh opted out, citing concerns about innovation and market competitiveness.
Despite varied opinions, Cloudworx continues to strive for growth, aiming to tap into the vast opportunities presented by the consumer metaverse while addressing the needs of MSMEs worldwide.
