The Milk Bun restaurant, designed by Rabih Geha Architects, stands as a striking testament to the convergence of tradition and technology. Situated in Qatar, this project, a collaboration between Rabih Geha and Gastronomica, the restaurant owners, is a bold reinterpretation of fast-food dining.
Modern Open Space Design
The restaurant’s interior exudes modernity and warmth, inviting patrons into a space that seamlessly blends tradition with contemporary flair. Emphasizing the brand’s iconic pink color, the walls are adorned with pink-infused panels, while the flooring boasts a sleek concrete finish. A holographic window offers a glimpse into the kitchen, where the restaurant’s signature buns and cookies are freshly prepared, adding an element of theater to the dining experience. Concrete pillars proudly display Milk Bun merchandise, while drum-shaped lights suspended from the ceiling mirror their form on the ground below.
Expansive Dining Areas
Spanning an impressive 376 square meters, the indoor dining area provides ample space for guests to dine and socialize. Additionally, a 160 square meter terrace offers an outdoor dining experience, accessible either through the restaurant or a dedicated side entrance. Both indoor and outdoor spaces share a cohesive design language, punctuated by touches of greenery and pink sunshades on the terrace, creating a harmonious blend of natural elements and contemporary aesthetics.
